Southwest University Jiangsu Alumni Association Holds Its 2018 Annual Meeting

——And the 2017 MBA&MPAcc (Suzhou) Awarding Ceremony

        On January 7, the 2018 Southwest University Jiangsu Alumni Association Annual Meeting and the 2017 MBA&MPAcc Awarding Ceremony were successfully held in Suzhou.

At three o'clock in the afternoon, alumni from all over Jiangsu arrived at the venue one after another, met again, and had a great time chatting.

Chapter 1: There is no end to learning and graduation will not end. Notes on the 2017 MBA&MPAcc (Suzhou) conferment ceremony

The 2018 Annual Meeting of the Southwest University Jiangsu Alumni Association and the 2017 MBA and MPAcc conferment ceremony of Southwest University officially kicked off. This conference was hosted by Teacher Xia Caihong. Even though we are in different places, we are closely connected to each other by our common alma mater, Southwest University. On behalf of the Jiangsu Alumni Association, I would like to express my sincere greetings and best wishes to all the alumni working and living in Jiangsu! First of all, the conference would like to express its gratitude to the alumni who provided sponsorship and support for this annual meeting: Suzhou Fanaixin Financial Management Co., Ltd., Shen Jiawen and Zheng Lian; Suzhou No. 1 Guocang, Yu Jianlin; China Ping An, Zhang Cheng; Suzhou Baohe Energy Saving Technology Co., Ltd., Quan Jianjun; Guangxi Yishengyuan Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd., Xu Zhen. At the beginning of the conference, Xiao Yao, deputy director of the International Liaison Department of Southwest University, delivered a speech on behalf of the Alumni Association, expressing heartfelt thanks and sincere greetings to all the alumni who have made suggestions and worked hard for the development and construction of Jiangsu. The Jiangsu Alumni Association has carried out a wealth of alumni activities since its establishment in 2015. It hopes that in the new year, it can work with the Alumni Association to refine alumni organizations, enrich alumni activities, further strengthen school-local cooperation, and explore and realize alumni value based on administrative divisions and alumni distribution.

Next, Fang Xinrong, President of the Jiangsu Alumni Association, introduced the general situation of the Jiangsu Alumni Association. At present, the Jiangsu Alumni Association has contacted more than 400 alumni. It adheres to the purpose of the Alumni Association General Association and shoulders the sacred responsibility of caring for the alma mater, adhering to the tradition, and uniting the alumni. It is still actively exploring and working hard, and has established two alumni associations in Nanjing and Suzhou. At the same time, in order to better serve Jiangsu alumni, we are now actively preparing for liaison with various areas of the Jiangsu Alumni Association. In addition, the Jiangsu Alumni Association, relying on the Changshu Research Institute of Southwest University, actively provides a platform for school-local cooperation and technological transformation. This time, the Jiangsu Alumni Association Area has elected liaison persons for the Nanjing and Suxitong Areas. For the Nanjing Area, they are: Wu Jianqiang, Xu Bin, Liu Zhitong, and Zhu Zhaosheng; for the Suxitong Area, they are Zhou Zhengyu, Yuan Zhonghua, Zou Min, Xu Zhen, and Du Dongli. 

Professor Liu Xinzhi, assistant dean and doctoral supervisor of the School of Economics and Management of Southwest University, conferred the degree this time. Before the awarding ceremony, he introduced the current situation of the School of Economics and Management and the Changshu Research Institute of Southwest University. He expressed his sincere congratulations to the nearly 50 students who have obtained MBA and MPAcc (Suzhou) degrees this time. He hopes that all students and alumni will strengthen the interaction with their alma mater, work hard, and prosper in their careers. The alma mater is proud of you. 

Next, students Li Xiaoya and Zhu Yun spoke one after another as representatives of the graduates, and expressed their thoughts on the entire learning process and their prospects after graduation.

The conferment of degrees has officially begun. In every corner of the venue, we can see the ardent expectations on the faces of the students wearing neat master's uniforms. Later, the doctoral supervisor Professor Liu Xinzhi conferred degrees to the master's degree students in turn and took group photos.

Chapter 2: Building Dreams for the Future Xida Jiangsu Maker Alliance Sharing Session

Next is the introduction and exchange session of the Southwest University Jiangsu Alumni Association's entrepreneurial projects. Southwest University has a large number of talents. Many alumni have shown their skills in the wave of mass entrepreneurship and mass entrepreneurship, achieved certain results, and accumulated valuable experience. The following alumni gave wonderful sharings: Quan Jianjun, head of Suzhou Baohe Energy Saving Technology Co., Ltd., alumnus of the class of 2013; Zou Min, head of Suzhou Yuanji Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., alumnus of the class of 2011; Yu Jianlin, alumnus of Suzhou No. 1 Fruit Cage, alumnus of the class of 2013; Xu Zhen, alumnus of Guangxi Yishengyuan Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd., a class of 1995; Tang Dynasty alumnus of the class of 2001, majoring in horticulture. Thanks to alumnus Xu Zhen for sharing. Entrepreneurship and innovation radiate upward power. I wish the alumni to grow up in the sunshine and have a better tomorrow!

Chapter Three: Reminiscing the Past, Smoothing the Future, Remembering the Alumni Association Party

After a short break, the exciting moment of the dinner arrived. At 18:10, the host came on stage and announced that the party officially started.

First of all, representative Fang Xinrong, president of the Jiangsu Alumni Association of Southwest University, delivered a speech and raised a toast to congratulate him.

The first to appear are the handsome male gang of 15th-level MBA students, "My Good Brothers" brought by 11 classmates including Chen Loufu, Wang Chunlin, Gu Feng. We were young and in our prime, and gathered from all over the country to Southwest University with our ideals and longings. After careful cultivation and guidance from teachers, we were full of ambition and went our separate ways. 

Classmate Tao Kaidi Brought the song "Just Right"Let everyone enjoy it. Just remember this moment, we are singing and laughing and having a smooth future together.

Finance class F4 Hu Kai, Hu Xuan, Zhu Yong, and Liu Pengfei brought a funny and ever-changing sketch "Annual Meeting" and the song "Friends". Regardless of the barriers of time and space, friendship remains timeless and is the most cherished wealth in our lives.

Youth is always beautiful. I hope all our alumni will come back as young as they have gone through. Thanks to Zhou Lei for the song "Light Chaser".

The excitement of the party came one after another. Wang Dengzhou and Zhang Hao performed unique dances, bringing laughter to everyone. They walked into "Radio Gymnastics" that was different from what they remembered, and also pushed the atmosphere to a climax.

In addition to the wonderful programs brought by the alumni, there were also wonderful performances by the children of the alumni. First of all, the daughter of alumnus Chen Pei, Chen Jiayi, let us enjoy the beautiful pipa song "White Snow in Spring" with ancient style and charm. There was also Cai Jinxuan, the son of alumnus Li Hong, who played the bamboo flute to the rhythm of "Little Apple" and made a cheerful sound. To bring even more blessings and good luck, the child Cheng Xiran, daughter of alumnus He Fang, did calligraphy on the spot, writing the word "fu (good fortune)" one after another, indicating that in the new year, everyone present will have good luck and be full of blessings.

Games are an indispensable part, especially the children, who actively took to the stage and it was very lively.

After the game, there will be a lottery draw for the party. The leaders and guests who were invited to attend will draw the winners and award the prizes.

As time progressed, the party ended successfully. Happy time is always so short. In 2018, move forward with heart and set sail. We will meet again!
